Particular attention will be given to research projects associated to structural biology using cryo electron microscopy, yet we will also welcome applications from candidates interested in any aspect of biology and molecular pathology with emphasis on the use of integrative approaches contributing to the overall objectives of the lab.

The AFMB lab (, affiliated to the CNRS and Aix-Marseille Université and in partnership with INRAE, is located on the pluridisciplinary campus of Luminy in the south of Marseille. The lab currently gathers 6 research teams investigating diversified though complementary topics including glycobiology, glycomics, microbiology, neurobiology, virology and medicinal chemistry. The recruited candidate will have access to state-of-the-art facilities for bioinformatics, protein expression and purification, biochemistry, biophysics, small molecule screening and structural biology, as well as access to national/European synchrotron beamlines and cryo-EM facilities. Over its 30 years of history, the AFMB lab has a tradition of high-quality research and provides an outstanding international research environment.
