Transmission electron microscopy (TEM) is a constantly evolving technology. In recent years, its ability to reveal atomic-level details of biological complexes has made it an essential tool in structural biology. However, biological complexes are inherently dynamic, transitioning between multiple conformations and interacting with various partners. Cryo-electron microscopy (cryo-EM), through the development of advanced statistical approaches, allows us to capture and analyze these structural variations, from the molecular to the cellular level.
