🌿 Louis Pasteur Bicentennial Awards: five scientists rewarded

To close the bicentenary of Louis Pasteur’s birth, the Institut Pasteur, with the support of the Carlsberg Foundation, has awarded five talented researchers. These prizes, awarded on January 26, 2023, recognize achievements reflecting the “Pasteur spirit” in the fields of biomedical research, public health, or innovation. The Carlsberg Foundation’s ties to the Institut Pasteur date back to the late 19th century.

The Senior Pasteur Alumni LP200 Prize:
Presented by Alain Fischer, professor of pediatric immunology and French researcher in medicine and gene therapy.
Laureate : Bruno Canard, research director at the CNRS – Centre national de la recherche scientifique
Theme: Introduction of viral structural genomics as a scientific field targeting functional enzymatic domains from non-structural viral proteins.
