Structure cristalline du dimère de neuroligine (sous-unités en jaune, domaine de dimérisation violet) associé à deux molécules de neurexine-beta (vert). Domaines d’Investigation

Mes recherches s’adressent aux relations structure-fonction de récepteurs macromoléculaires et molécules d’adhésion cellulaire qui sont d’un intérêt neurobiologique considérable de par leur(s) implication(s) dans la genèse, la physiologie, la pathologie ou le vieillissement des structures synaptiques centrales ou périphériques. Mes objectifs sont de documenter (i) les bases moléculaires et structurales de ces récepteurs et molécules d’adhésion et celles de la réactivité et la spécificité de leurs partenaires peptidiques ou organiques ; (ii) les mécanismes moléculaires et événements dynamiques associés à la formation et la stabilisation du complexe et conduisant à une modification de l’activité de ces récepteurs et molécules d’adhésion.

LIA SGIDSTS

La convention pour la création d’un Laboratoire International Associé (LIA) entre le laboratoire Architecture et Fonction des Macromolécules Biologiques (AFMB) à Marseille, France, et le Palmer Taylor laboratory, Skaggs School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences (SSPPS) à La Jolla, Californie, a été signée par les institutions françaises Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique (CNRS) et Aix-Marseille Université (AMU), et l’institution americaine Université de Californie à San Diego (UCSD), en février-avril 2015. Ce LIA était nommé Structure-Guided Investigations into Disease States and Therapeutic Strategies (acronyme SGIDSTS) et il a de fait commencé à fonctionner le 1er janvier 2013, pour 4 ans. Il était coordonné du coté français par Pascale Marchot, chercheur CNRS, et du coté américain par Palmer Taylor, chercheur et professeur UCSD.
